Collaboration and Partnerships

WCA is adjacent to the campus of Temple University and works closely with its Departments of Education, Social Work and Social Administration.

WCA is a founding partner of ServiceNet, a project designed to improve delivery, outcomes, and cost effectiveness of child welfare services.  ServiceNet agencies include Carson Valley School, Children’s Aid Society, Children’s Home of Easton, Presbyterian Children’s Village, and Tabor Children’s Services.

WCA collaborates with the Maternity Care Coalition and receives federal funding to conduct an HIV/AID education program to reach African American females. 

WCA works with the Philadelphia Department of Human Services as a major contractor for child placement and family services. 

WCA has extensive working relationships with numerous community-based, nonprofit organizations, education, religious and cultural institutions; city, state and federal government agencies, private sector firms, foundations, volunteers and supporters.

WCA is a member of the Child Welfare League of America and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Families and Children, Inc

Affiliations and Memberships

WCA is a Partner Agency with the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania a member of the Family Builders Network (a national collaboration of adoption agencies); and the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

   

The City of Philadelphia and the Department of Human Services (DHS) created Philly Search Online for Services (SOS), a website providing social workers, case managers and Philadelphia residents with up-to-date, accurate information about community resources that help support and strengthen families.
