The Division of Family Services addresses each client’s circumstances through a holistic pathway that is designed to bring optimal benefit to children and the family unit.

The central intake unit serves as the primary point of contact for children and families that are referred to WCA by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services, or adjudicated through Philadelphia’s Juvenile Court and other external child welfare agencies.  Depending upon the initial evaluation by the intake worker, clients are sensitively introduced to the appropriate services and programs within the WCA that are best suited to meet their needs.
