Continuous Quality Improvement

The purpose of the WCA’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program is to establish guidelines that will ensure the delivery of effective and efficient client services and programs.  The CQI program is also designed to direct WCA’s activity in meeting the standards of the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc.

Peer monitoring and case review assess the quality of care and services provided to WCA’s clients.  Peer review is conducted every 90 days.  Utilization review is conducted each month so that all services and programs are reviewed every 90 days.  The review process addresses the appropriateness and impact of services and information provided to clients and consumers, determine cost-effectiveness of services and information, and quality and quantity levels of service delivery.

In addition, WCA employs various assessment tools to monitor service sand programs including the Family Assessment Form (FAF) and the Family Resource Scale (FRS).  These tools are used to assess family functioning, develop appropriate treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes.
