Welcome to the Women’s Christian Alliance (WCA), a non-sectarian, nonprofit multi-service agency that provides resources and support to more than 5,000 children and families in and around North Central Philadelphia annually. For over 90 years, WCA has worked to create positive social, educational and economic transformation in its community and beyond. WCA’s current priority areas of focus include providing helpful resources for families, recruiting parents for foster care, and developing community and corporate partnerships.

Mission

  • To support and facilitate permanence for children.
  • To engage in activities which promote and ensure stability and integrity of families.
  • To provide services and programs which are child-focused, family-centered, culturally sensitive and community-based.
  • To advocate and influence social policy that develops progressive, rational child welfare practices.

Values

WCA pledges to provide high-quality progressive services in a timely manner with a caring attitude and respect for the integrity of the individual and family. We accept the principles of change and aim to be flexible, tenacious, culturally sensitive, visionary, and accountable to clients and the community.
